TEAM & PARTNERSHIP COACHING
NOBODY IS AS CAPABLE AS EVERYBODY
The challenges faced by the public sector cannot be solved by one individual or even one organisation working alone. To be successful we need to build strong teams and strong partnerships with high levels of trust. The key insight from which we work is that whilst some people are more capable than others nobody is as capable as everybody.
TEAM & PARTNERSHIP PROJECTS
Every partnership and every team is unique but the foundation stone of any group of people successfully working together is trust. Here are some examples of projects we have delivered and the impact we have made.

Team
Health Check
Oldham Council wanted to strengthen the ownership amongst teams of their own improvement plans. Greengage developed a short "team health check" workshop which would focus teams on understanding the Oldham behaviours and make clear plans for aligning with them. We also trained a cohort of internal facilitators who could deliver the workshop.
"The programme was real success. The health checks made positive impact for a very modest investment. Using internal facilitators created a lot of cross organisational learning. This has helped us break down silos across the organisation and develop a more co-operative culture"

Partnership Development
Greengage is working with partners across the health and social care system in Cumbria to build the skills, confidence and commitment of senior staff to lead collaborative working across departmental boundaries within their own organisation, with external partners and with local community groups. Greengage has trained a mixed cohort of clinicians and managers from the NHS and local government to facilitate breakthroughs on live issues.
“I don’t recall ever attending a workshop that was as constructive, purposeful and useful to my everyday work and life, I really enjoyed it”
Paul Latimer
Senior Manager Operations
Cumbria County Council

Team Coaching
Greengage was asked to work with the new senior at Rotherham to develop greater clarity about its strategic priorities and capacity of the team to work together to deliver on this demanding agenda.
“ The work with Greengage allowed us to accelerate the process of developing the team.”
“The new team was under great pressure to perform and we had little time to work through the normal process of building a mature team. The work with Greengage allowed us to accelerate the process of developing the team and helped us articulate a clear, new way of working for the senior team and for the council. .”
Sharon Kemp, Chief Executive
Rotherham Council

Partnership
Improvement
WYAAT – the West Yorkshire Association of Acute Trusts is a partnership of six acute health trusts across West Yorkshire and Harrogate. Greengage were asked by WYAAT to help identify ways the partnership could be strengthened and build on the successes achieved in the partnership’s first two years.
“The work Greengage did for us helped us identify a lot of strengths as well as a number of areas where we could improve. The most positive impact the work had is that it helped us identify a need to strengthen our communication with commissioners and local government to highlight how our work contributes to the overall WY&H Integrated Care System. The need for this wasn’t something we had spotted previously and our approach to communication is now a lot stronger as a result.” Matt Graham, WYAAT programme director.
